RunGiving 5k-10k is raising funds for the following charity and would appreciate any support you are able to provide.

Broad Street Ministry Center is a benevolence, a 501(c)(3) ministry. We currently have one fulltime paid staff, one parttime, and countless volunteers who faithfully serve those in need in our community.

 

We are open Monday - Thursday from 8:30-4:30, and on weekends for special events and projects. 

 

Our purpose is to share with the CSRA the love of God through outreach. We carry this out by meeting needs of individuals and families in our community. Currently we are serving 80 -110 families each week through our different ministries combined.

 

For our food pantry ( which is open Tuesday & Thursdays from 10:00-2:00) each family shows proof of eligibility (working poor, recently unemployed, seniors, disabled, retired, college students and recently homeless) We have the honor of helping these families with 8-10 bags of  groceries monthly (fresh produce, meat, canned goods, dried goods, hygiene supplies...)

 

Other ministries that are offered at the center are: CLOTHING FLOOR for men and ladies, SHOE ROOM for men & ladies, WINTER APPAREL ROOM where we distribute coats/blankets, other winter items, and heaters (plus providing fans in the hot months), SMALL GROUP AND BREAKFAST for men and ladies, HOT LUNCH with a teaching and worship on Monday,  summer VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL, BACK TO SCHOOL BASH backpack & school items distribution, HOLIDAY meal & gift sponsorship, ADULT LITERACY classes, RESUME ASSISTANCE, JOB BOARD updated, PROM dresses for HS seniors in need, and SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP in Richmond County as we provide clothing, hygiene supplies, school supplies, and weekend food for community children in need.

 

We have the honor of helping approximately 4500 families yearly.
